  • Being a part of different corporate setups, we also started experiencing the same physically inactive lifestyle that most working professionals experience. Working all day on computer screen our physical activity was bare minimum and we resorted to unhealthy canteen and processed junk food. We started putting on unhealthy weight and also realized were becoming more disease prone due to all this.

Anupam was trying to follow a diet plan last year to bring him back in shape. The effort which was required in buying items daily and cooking them at home 6 times a day was really tiring with his office schedule. From there, he came with idea to solve the problem of food requirement for people who want to follow any kind of diet schedule.

With this thinking and on a bit of research we found out that 4 in 10 Bengalurians are obese while 70% are overweight. 26% of the city's population is diabetic while 3 in every 4 residents here suffer heart disease risk. And this all can be attributed to poor lifestyles especially unhealthy eating habits. As per facts published in a national daily a couple of years ago, 6% of city's population eats out daily, 36% once a weak. The physical activity remains quite low with 57% working class having "physically inactive" lifestyle.

We started talking to a few doctors and reputed dieticians in the area and realized that there is a gap in demand and supply of expert recommended meals. Doctors/dieticians can only chart a diet out for a client but end executive (planning, buying, preparing) is left with the client which is a painful task. So we decided to put in our share of efforts to bridge this requirement availability as much as we can.

  • Our business idea is inspired from disorders that working professionals develop due to their sedentary lifestyles and poor food habits. Problems like Diabetes, obesity, heart disease risk start showing up after a first few years in fast paced work life.

We're working on a product that aims to bridge health & food-tech spaces using nutrition science expertise. We work with doctors & certified dieticians to enable home delivery of planned nutrition solutions for different health needs like weight management, diabetes control, cholesterol control etc. While we own the operations and order fulfilment responsibility, diet planning is outsourced to experts. We want to make requirement-tailored food consumption a part of consumer lifestyles to ensure maximum health issues are actually taken care of, just by following appropriate diet schedule.
